MJ Hudson Amaces provides analytical and consulting services to help institutional investors benchmark and monitor the cost and quality of the investor services they receive from their custodian banks. We also provide innovative tools and related consulting services to minimise FX transaction costs. We work with fund managers, pension funds and endowments, helping them achieve and sustain optimum performance from their custodian banks and administrators. Our clients are located principally in Europe and North America and include many of the world’s most significant institutional investors.

About the Group

MJ Hudson, the asset management consultancy, acquired Amaces in December 2018. The acquisition expands MJ Hudson’s existing asset management client base from 600+ managers, pension funds and other asset owners to more than 700, collectively managing in excess of $10Trn. It provides MJ Hudson with an established operational and commercial presence in the US and Canadian markets, while simultaneously offering new and existing clients an extended and enhanced suite of services.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Researching and developing leads for prospective clients
  • Meeting potential clients, alone of with other team members, to learn more about them and introduce our firm’s capabilities
  • Develop proposals for our services and when appropriate securing business
  • Manage client assignments which could range from one off consulting assignments (fee benchmarking, RFPs) to the ongoing analytical benchmarking products
  • For ongoing products manage client relationships and provide advice based on analysis

Candidate profile

  • 10 – 15 years of experience in financial consulting, custody/fund administration with client facing responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing sales as well as ongoing client management
  • Strong network of prior relationships amongst UK based institutional investors
  • Entrepreneurial spirit working with a supportive team in the US and Europe
