FAQs – Graduate Rotation Scheme

Do I need to have prior experience in Investment Advisory, Fund Management Solutions or IR and Marketing?

Previous experience is not essential. For us, it is more important that you are able to demonstrate a genuine interest in learning about what we do and getting involved with the work at MJ Hudson. We understand that you may demonstrate this in different ways, such as work experience, extra-curricular activities, or keeping up-to-date with relevant current affairs.

Can first/penultimate year students apply for the vacation schemes?

Only final-year or postgraduate students can apply as the scheme is for 12 months, with a view to becoming permanently employed following completion of the scheme.

Do you have any minimum requirements for A Levels and Undergraduate degree?

We are looking for graduates with at least a 2:1 in any subject. We will evaluate applications based on experience as well as grades.

Do you provide feedback at any stage in the interview process?

If you request it, we will provide brief feedback following on from the Graduate Assessment Day and after interviews.

What are the hours of work?

MJ Hudson’s hours are from 9.30am – 5.30pm, but as with any job, you may be expected to work outside of these hours. Nevertheless, we do not promote a culture of impressing colleagues by staying late – only stay until you need to!

What is the dress code?

From Monday to Thursday we expect our employees to come in to work looking professional and smart, particularly if meeting with clients. On Fridays we operate a dress-down policy, however if you are meeting a client you must wear formal business attire.
