Kimura Capital sought to establish a fund structure to lend to small-medium enterprises. Kimura sought to seed the fund with capital from both US and UK-based investors, so a two-legged master-feeder fund structure was established.
MJ Hudson acted as lead counsel on the establishment of the fund and provides general counsel services to Kimura on an ongoing basis. MJ Hudson co-ordinated with both Cayman Islands and New York lawyers on the structuring side, and managed the project by instructing the various service providers on Kimura’s behalf.
